Interview Preparation

process_6

The personal interview is of utmost importance in the admission to the elite MBA Programs.  Top schools expect candidates to be comfortable speakers with professional interview skills. This is a stressful moment for most candidates, and strong interview preparation can make all the difference. Sometimes a successful interview can compensate for weak points in the Candidacy File. Personal characteristics and biographical details are vital, and the minute you receive the good news about an interview invitation, we immediately start preparing you to make the most of that all-important opportunity.

The personal interview is each school’s way of identifying the interpersonal strengths of the most promising candidates, and their suitability to the program. The interviewer is asking himself, "Would I want to study with this person in the same class or study group?"

The Ivy Interviewing team is composed of MBA alumni who have themselves interviewed hundreds of candidates, and prepared hundreds of candidates for interviews. This vital experience minimizes unexpected questions, helping to empower you, the candidate, to control the interview experience. For your interview preparation, you will work with a senior Ivy advisor who specializes in mock interviews.

Remember! Your interviewer’s reports are evaluated as part of the overall application file. Receiving an interview invitation is not a guarantee of acceptance, but it is a promising sign that the admissions committee liked your application. The interview can be a critical piece in the admissions decision.
